Visual Vitamin C! Exactly what I need right now. I was in NYC yesterday and Crate and Barrel had a display of Marimekko prints with lots of yellow teapots and things and I just stood there staring, drinking in all the yellow. So happy to have another boost this morning, thanks for posting these.

I am energized, just looking at these! They're all wonderful works but the one that moves me the most is Katharina Chapuis's "Untitled #SQ-Y5" because I like its glow. Svetlana Rabey's painting resonates with me, too. I'm drawn to drip paintings; it's also interesting to see the muddy yellow-greens work so well with saturated yellow.

I enjoy what you're doing with this color-themed idea, Elizabeth!

I painted a series of yellows a few years ago (as part of The Paradise Project, done while still living in the islands). I wanted to work with yellow, being told repeatedly that it's a "difficult" color. I was curious to see what could be done with this hue. I didn't find yellow to be difficult; of course I was working in monochromes, so I didn't have the typical concerns about color harmony.

Love seeing this post Elizabeth--and the many ways people have taken on pink! After years of very deliberate avoidance of a whole drawer full of pigments, I too have explored the delights of pink in all its deliciousness. Looking forward to the Whole Lotta series!
