Don Cooper at Sandler Hudson

This is a beautiful show of Don Cooper's work at Sandler Hudson Galley.
They are really mesmerizing. The watercolors are on 37" x 54" hand made Indian paper painted with pigment made from stones such as jade, turquoise and lapis lazuli.  The paintings reflect concepts such as "the theory of everything" and visually bare a resemblance to the recent mathematical structure E8. If you haven't seen the show...go! For more info on Don click here:

  1. There's something very zen and meditative about these paintings. I love that he made them from stone pigments.

  2. Hey Stephanie!
Hope you are enjoying Charleston! These pieces are so beautiful. The patience it had to take to create these is crazy! Of course I love the color and soothing quality they have.
    Hope painting is going well!
