Tim McFarlane creates some exciting work. I love the use of color and layering. The pieces are bold and playful.

I am a sucker for photos of other artist's studios. Tim has a great blog
www.initforlife.blogspot.com where he has some documentation of his studio and informative writing. I really love the posts of studio visits to other artist studios. You can see more of his paintings at
Bridgette Mayer Gallery where he is represented in Philadelphia.

I've been following Tim's blog for a while...It's interesting to see what he does with layering: obliterating part of the painting with big, opaque blobs of color! And of course, I like when a painter uses drips and runs.
ReplyDeletegreat posting Elizabeth. I love Tim's work.
