This Fire

I am working away to finish up pieces for my upcoming show. This is a new one. The pieces are coming together, just feel that pressure to add a few more. I always complete more than I need but I like having the option to eliminate and make the show flow once the paintings are there. I hope your Thanksgiving was amazing! happy painting weekend!

Elizabeth Sheppell "Remain In Light" 2011 16x16

This is a new piece "Remain In Light". The edges are heavy but not as built up as the "fat series". This is part of  a second series of works that I hope will compliment that series for my upcoming show next year. Click on the title to see closer.

Feeling FAT

I do have days I feel this way but today I am talking about the new series I am working on. Lots of  thick fat layering but trying to keep some fluid feel to them. I am really enjoying changing the shape of the panel with the added edge build up. Looking forward on adding to this series.
